I enjoy painting cats and their innocent curiosity, playfulness and their humour. I create small vignettes for the cats, incorporating my love of interiors, colour & composition. I draw as accurately as I can, I paint slowly and I try to work loosely. In the finished painting, the focal points, usually the cats or what they are looking at, have more detail. All my cat paintings are varied as I like to try new ideas, but often a series of paintings do have a running theme.
